3D2N at Frankfurt, Germany

Hallo!

It was an impromptu trip to Frankfurt with Melissa just a month back! We decided to book our tickets to Frankfurt because its only £40 return by Ryan air? I couldn't miss such good deals!! We paid less than £80/person including our stay at Hotel Imperial Novum Frankfurt Messe, with complimentary breakfast.

As Ryan air only stops at Frankfurt Hahn airport, which is almost 2hours away from Frankfurt am Main, we took a bus that cost 14euros per way from the airport to the centre of Frankfurt! Luckily it wasn't that difficult to navigate around ;)

Reached the main train station and we just took a quick bite before heading to our Hotel! How can you miss that gorgeous currywurst with chips?!

That is Mel's currywurst from another stall! Mine is definitely better.

This is how the train station will look like after renovation! Hahah, if you take a closer look, you get what i mean.

Thankful for the good weather at Frankfurt. Its a rather calm city like Stuttgart. Definitely less busy than London! At first we paid 9.90euros for transportation in Frankfurt. We then realised that there isn't any train or tram conductors around? And the underground did not have any gantry to pass through. So we took the risk of getting fine the next and following day. WE DID IT. I reckon that everyone should take the risk. Hahah you can save loads!!

Houses just across our hotel! Peaceful area ;)

Finally we reached Zeil! The famous street in Frankfurt! There are loads of shopping to do in that area! Pandora is really cheap over there!! Got a hollister top for only 15euros!

We were so disturbed by the weird looking trees in Frankfurt! Look how ugly they are!!

One of the shopping mall in Zeil

I love REWE, their Supermarket in Germany! Melissa and I had a box of blueberries each everyday because it was only 0.76euros? Superb. I had loads of fruits over there! Most of them are for a euro each.

Movenpick yogurt!! I came for this, seriously. It was that good! Sadly my hotel doesn't have a refrigerator. I just left the yogurts by the window ;P

This is my candyland!

Big Rittersport for 1.50euros!

I have no idea how can you purchase cigarettes using this. Its cheaper than UK i think!

We had the same coats from Zara!! and same bags! Such coincidence haha

Seafood in this place looks good!! Did have time to try so we skipped it. It is just a stone throw away from the Cathedral.

They have the best potato salads in the whole world. Love it

The cranes totally spoilt the pictures :( We tried finding a cider village but Failed!! Had a good walk around Frankfurt by the river. Found so many bars around!

Day 2, we decided to take the underground to Oper!

Miss my tourisy jump shots? 1 for you!

Self timer sucks!

S-A-U-S-A-G-E-S

Kalkhoff range of Chocolates. There is way more of course!

Kinder Museum!

We were back at Zeil's area after walking for a bit! Made our way to Römerberg! Its the most beautiful part of Frankfurt! Everyone should drop by!

Here it is!! Römerberg

Frankfurt's lovers bridge. It can't be compared to the one in Paris!

I really tried to be friendly but Mr Quack doesn't like me. Okay BYE

NO LIE NO SPY, What a prank

Skyline Plaza! a new mall i guess? I love their roof terrace! Its really spacious and really nice to just chill with your friends. There is a nice little bar up there as well!

Back to the supermarket! I love finding strange stuff! wonder if they sell it in Singapore !

This summarises my short getaway! More to come ;)

Thanks for the great read. I’m getting “Reise Fieber” as they say in German, just watching the gorgeous pictures … such a beautiful world !
